Using the service
Texting Studio is an independent browser tool for creating scripted chat mockups, screenshots, and videos. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be able to agree to these terms under the laws that apply to you, or use the service with the permission and supervision required by those laws.
Acceptable use
Use the studio for lawful creative work, education, demonstrations, parody, and clearly identified fictional conversations.
- Do not use generated chats as fabricated evidence or falsely claim that a real person sent the messages.
- Do not use the service for fraud, deceptive impersonation, harassment, threats, or unlawful content.
- Do not violate another person's privacy, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, or distribute malicious files through it.
When sharing a realistic mockup that could mislead viewers, make its fictional or edited nature clear. You are responsible for following the rules of the platform where you publish.
Your content and permissions
You retain any rights you hold in your original scripts, images, and other content. You are responsible for obtaining permission to use names, likenesses, images, stories, and other material that belongs to someone else.
Using the studio does not transfer ownership of your content to Texting Studio. It also does not give you rights to someone else's content, brand, or identity. You are responsible for the content you create, download, and share.
Projects, backups, and exports
Projects are stored locally in your browser. The service does not provide cloud backups or guarantee recovery after browser data is cleared, a device fails, or storage becomes unavailable. Export JSON backups of work you want to keep.
Recording support and output formats depend on your browser and device. The optional local converter can produce H.264/AAC MP4 files. Check your downloaded files before relying on them for publication or delivery.
Credits and Pro
Exports use credits: 1 per screenshot and 1 per started 3 seconds of video. Visitors receive 5 free credits; signed-in accounts receive 10 more when they first sign in, and each month after that the balance is topped up to 10 (unused free credits do not roll over). Free sign-in credits are given once per person: addresses that are aliases of one email (such as Gmail dots or +tags) and disposable email addresses do not receive them. Without Pro, a video stays clean for at most 60 seconds. When credits run out, or past 60 seconds, exports carry a Texting Studio watermark. Pro removes the limit and the watermark while your subscription is active. You can also buy one-time packs of 100 credits, which do not expire. Credits have no cash value. We may change free credit amounts for future grants. Billing, cancellation and refunds are covered by our refund & cancellation policy.

Texting Studio is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC. References to Android, iOS, and other third-party names describe visual styles or compatibility; those names belong to their respective owners.
External services and linked websites operate under their own terms and policies. Read our privacy policy to understand browser storage and external website resources.
Availability and responsibility
The studio is free to start, and Pro is an optional paid subscription. The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change, and uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, and error-free exports are not guaranteed.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Texting Studio disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including loss of locally stored work. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and questions
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The updated date shows the latest revision. Changes apply to use after the revised terms take effect and do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
